Excel Tips

FreezeSettings-

Freeze the header information on the top of the page by

1. highlight the row below the information you want to show
2. select the 'Window' Menu from the menu bar and select freeze panes

Print Settings

1. Select the Columns with the information you want to show.
2. From File select print area-> set print area
3. From Page Setup Orientation:Portrait
4. Scaling- Fit to 1 page wide _pages tall
5. Sheet tab- Rows to repeat at top- 1:3
   1. GridLines
   2. Row Columns and Headings

   View the print Preview to confirm settings, and check number of pages. When satisfied, click print to create a hard copy.

Protection Settings-

When sending reports- to protect worksheets to prevent data from being edited, manipulated,

1. Select Tools menu- protection-> protect sheet
2. In the Protect Sheet window, check the box at the top to 'Protect worksheet and contents of locked cells'
3. deselect all other boxes.
