How to Get to Cleveland Clinic From the Southwest Via I - 71

(From the Cleveland Airport, the Southwest Suburbs, or Columbus and Cincinnati)

• From the Airport, take the Airport Highway north towards Cleveland. It will merge with I-71 within a mile.
• Take I - 71 north to downtown Cleveland. It merges with I-90 a couple of miles from downtown.
• Stay to the right as you approach downtown. When you pass the baseball stadium (on your left) and go down under an overpasses, get ready to exit.
• Exit to the right on Chester Avenue or Carnegie Avenue eastbound. (Both exits only allow you to go east.) Both Chester and Carnegie go directly to the main Cleveland Clinic Campus (about 2 miles from the freeway).

How to Get to Cleveland Clinic From the South Via I - 77 or I - 71

(From Akron, Canton, West Virginia, and Southern Suburbs)

• Take I - 77 or I - 71 north to downtown Cleveland. I - 77 and I - 71 merge with I - 90.
• If you're on I-71 (e.g. from Columbus or the airport), stay to the right as you approach downtown. When you pass the baseball stadium (on your left) and go down under some overpasses, get ready to exit.
• If you're on I-77 (e.g. From Akron/Canton, or from points east on I-90 or I-480), watch the signs very carefully as you get downtown. Two lanes of I-77 exit to three exit ramps. Follow the exit to I-90 East, but be ready to exit I-90 within about 1/2 mile.
• Exit to the right on Chester Avenue or Carnegie Avenue eastbound. (Both exits only allow you to go east.) Both Chester and Carnegie go directly to the main Cleveland Clinic Campus (about 2 miles from I - 90)

From the Southeast or East Via I-271 How to Get to Cleveland Clinic From the SouthEast or East Via I - 271

(From Cleveland's Eastern Suburbs)

• Follow I - 271 to the Cedar Road exit.
• Go west on Cedar and drive approximately eight miles to University Circle (you'll come down a tree-lined hill to a underpass at a Rapid Transit station, and then a rather complex intersection where you see Case Western Reserve University Buildings to your right.) Watch the signs very carefully.
• If you're heading to the Euclid Avenue Garage (generally for the hospital and F, G, M, S, and T clinics)

Bear right onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard for one block, and then turn left onto Euclid Avenue.

Go west three or four blocks to heart of the Cleveland Clinic campus. You'll see the 14-story Walker Center on your left, the Ronald McDonald house on your right, the new Eye Institute on your left and then the Euclid Avenue Garage on your left.

• If you're heading to the 100th Street Garage (generally for the Crile Building (Building A)and the Intercontinental Hotel and Conference Center)

Go straight through the intersection to Carnegie Avenue and turn left onto 100th Street, where you'll see the large parking garage on your left.

If left turns are restricted (as they are during rush hour), turn right on 96th as you pass the Intercontinental Hotel, and go around the block.

From the East Via I-90 How to Get to Cleveland Clinic From the East via I - 90

(From Cleveland's Eastern Suburbs, Lake County, Erie and Western New York)

• Follow I - 90 west toward Cleveland. Exit at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., about two miles east of downtown Cleveland.
• Turn left (south) on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and proceed about three miles to 105th Street (where you come upon University Circle and Case Western Reserve University).
• Turn right (south) on 105th Street
• If you're heading to the Euclid Avenue Garage (generally for the hospital and F, G, M, S, and T buildings) * Go up the hill to Chester Avenue. * Turn right (west) on Chester Avenue and drive three blocks to East 93rd Street. * Turn left (south) on East 93rd Street and drive one block to Euclid Avenue and the CCF campus.
• * If you're heading to the 100th Street Garage (generally for the Intercontinental Hotel and Conference Center and the Crile Building). o Go about five blocks to Cedar Avenue (avoid the right-turn only and left-turn only lanes). o Turn right (west) on Cedar Avenue and drive two blocks to East 100th Street. o Turn right (north) on East 100th Street and turn right into the garage.

How to Get to Cleveland Clinic From the East Via the Ohio Turnpike (I-80)

(From Youngstown, Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania)

• Follow I - 80 west to Exit 187 (I - 480)
• Take I - 480 west to I - 271 north. Note: Depending on the time of day, and your preference for stop-and-go traffic or highways, you may wish to continue west on I-480 to I-77 and then come to the main Clinic campus via I-77 and downtown Cleveland. The directions for I-77 are on another page.)
• Follow I - 271 north to the Cedar Road exit.
