Cancer Biologist (Brain Tumors, Gliomas)
The Department of Cancer Biology of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute is seeking a cancer biologist at the mid-career level with strong basic and translational research interests in brain tumors, specifically in gliomas. This position is an exceptional opportunity to translate laboratory discoveries to the patient through the basic and clinical resources available at the Lerner Research Institute and the Brain Tumor Institute of the Cleveland Clinic.
The Department of Cancer Biology currently has 11 primary Faculty members with strong research programs in gliomas, prostate and colorectal cancers, molecular genetics of human cancers, translational research and developmental therapy, cell signaling, apoptosis, genetic regulation and antiviral mechanisms. The Brain Tumor Institute is a unique multidisciplinary department within the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center and is dedicated to clinical excellence, innovative research in gliomas and academic achievement. Outstanding facilities and generous start-up funds are available. The Department of Cancer Biology is developing strong basic and translational research programs in disease-specific areas through strong collaborative research and interactions with outstanding clinical programs.
