Kaushik Ghosal, Ph.D. |
|
![]() |
Kaushik Ghosal received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Miami University, Ohio, and joined the lab in 2007. He is interested in more a ‘system biology’ approach for studying novel mechanisms at the organismal level. He is characterizing the AICD transgenic mice with special emphasis on neuroinflammation and neurogenesis. |
Qingyuan Fan, M.D., Ph.D. |
|
![]() |
Qingyuan Fan received his M.D. and Ph.D. from China and joined the group in 2010. He wants to study blood brain barrier abnormalities in AICD mice and explore the causes and effects of its dysfunction in AICD transgenic mice. He is also interested in further exploring the signaling pathways that impinge upon the intracellular effects of AICD. |
Chintha Bastian, Ph.D. |

Chintha is a Research Fellow. |
Daniel Margevicius, B.S. |
|
![]() |
Daniel Margevicius is the newest addition to the group and working toward his Ph.D. He wants to study AICD biology in vivo using a zebrafish model system, with a focus at how APP trafficking affects APP signaling and cellular pathways. His area of interest is in using cell biology to facilitate the study of neurodegeneration. |
Dani Fribourg |
|
![]() |
Dani Fribourg is a Baldwin-Wallace undergraduate student doing his senior thesis in the group. He joined in 2009 and has focused on using the zebrafish system to study cellular movements during embryogenesis. In particular, he wants to know, at the cellular level, how APP or AICD affect neuronal migration during embryogenesis.
