Award for Excellence in Basic Research: Justin D. Lathia, PhD, Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, received an Award for Excellence in Basic Research at the 2011 Society for Neuro-Oncology Annual Meeting. Over 1500 people attended and approximately 700 abstracts were submitted. The abstract, “Seeing is believing: Utilization of intravital microscopy to evaluate tumor growth and therapeutic response of transplanted human glioma stem cells,” is based on a recent PLoS One publication.
