Members of the Orthopaedic and Rheumatologic Research Center (ORRC) include staff who have a research program that involves the study of the musculoskeletal system.

ORRC programs are developed, supervised, and carried out by the Musculoskeletal Advisory Council (MAC). The MAC includes the Chairs, and/or senior members, of both the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery chairs the Council. Other members of the council are clinicians and scientists who are members of the ORRC.

The MAC administers functions of the ORRC and develops strategic plans for achieving its goals. Other responsibilities include promoting mutual educational and scientific activities and promoting the growth of the ORRC by defining opportunities for increased funding, resources, staff recruitment, and advancement.
