CEM Liberty Blue Microwave Peptide SynthesizerPeptide synthesis is carried out from 25 - 2.5 µmole scales on a microwave based synthesizer from CEM Inc. Multiple antigen peptide (MAP) synthesis for antibody generation is also available in the Core. The quality of synthetic peptides is routinely confirmed by HPLC analysis and mass analysis by MALDI-TOF-TOF. Various modifications performed are as follows:

J-815-CD-SpectropolarimeterA Circular Dichroisms (CD) Spectropolarimeter (Model J-815 from Jasco) is a type of light absorption spectroscopy that can provide information on the structures of optically active biological macromolecules. CD spectra of proteins between 250 and 185 nm can be analyzed for different secondary structural types such as, alpha helix, parallel and antiparallel beta sheet, turn and other random structures. |
