Coming to cancer research from process control engineering, I decided to focus on hematologic malignancies because, given the accessibility of blood, cancer state feedback should be richest for such cancers. I then decided to focus on chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) because it is simple. Indeed, the better a process is understood, the easier it is to control. CML is now solved, but the solution is expensive. Moving forward, my goal is to see if it can be prevented.

In other words ...

I hope to produce mathematical models that will improve our control of myeloid cancers.
