Biomedical Devices

The Biomedical Devices Area of CCF BME represents a diverse group of individuals working on in-house developed technology or externally-developed devices with preclinical testing or in initial clinical trials for FDA testing. Several of the researchers represented have joint appointments in both the Research Institute and Clinical Departments and so provide practical clinical input to the programs.Cardiac support programs cover the range of use from temporary to permanent support, pediatric to adult support, with continuous flow to pulsatile flow. Other programs are active in testing new vascular stents, clinical invasive monitoring and renal support.
