Orthopaedic Research Center

The mission of the Orthopaedic Research Center (ORC) is to advance the health and treatment of people with disorders of the musculoskeletal system through basic and applied scientific investigation and to prepare future leaders in musculoskeletal care, research, and education by training clinical residents and fellows, as well as graduate and post-doctoral research scientists.

Founded in 2001 as an interdisciplinary collaboration between the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Biomedical Engineering, ORC's clinical and basic research programs reflect the collaborative efforts of clinicians, scientists, engineers and educators. These programs extend to the regional community, across the nation, and the world.
