Research

Our research focuses on the development and application of novel statistical and machine learning methods in the field of medicine. Nowadays the unprecedented data in health care provide unique opportunities and challenges for scientific discovery through data analysis and mining, for which classical analytic methods often have limitations. We are particularly interested at the following areas:

  • Integrative analysis of omics and imaging data
  • Predictive modeling based on eletronic health records
  • Synthetic data generation
  • Design and conduct of clinical trials

Biography

Dr Hu is a Full Staff Member in the Department of Quntitative Health Sicences and a Professor at the Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He also serves as the Director of Scientific Affairs for the Center of Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences of Pathology Institute at Cleveland Clinc.
