The Blankenberg Lab in the Genomic Medicine Institute at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute has Postdoctoral Fellowships available. We utilize high-throughput omics technologies, such as next generation sequencing, and data-intensive computing to explore biomedical research questions. The PI is a founding member of the Galaxy Project (https://galaxyproject.org), a platform that is used throughout the world for large-scale data analysis. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Galaxy Project Team.
Additional preference will be given to individuals with experience in analysis of biological high-throughput datasets, especially sequencing and mass-spec based datasets, and to applicants with interest and experience in e.g. bioinformatics or computational biology in relation to cancer and metagenomic/microbiome derived datasets. Although previous, domain-specific experience is not strictly necessary.
Candidates will be highly motivated, ambitious, enthusiastic, and be able to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
Exceptional applicants should send a letter of application expressing their interest and containing links to GitHub accounts (or Bitbucket, GitLab, etc) or to portfolios of interactive visualization work, a curriculum vitae, statement of research interests, and complete contact information for 3 professional references as a single PDF to Dr. Daniel Blankenberg (firstname.lastname@example.org).
