Molecular control of oligodendrocyte differentiation during brain development.

Current program:

  • Studies on the regulatory elements of the myelin proteolipid protein gene.
  • Studies on animals carrying mutations in the myelin proteolipid protein gene.
  • Studies using a PLP-Lac2 transgene to track oligodendrocyte differentiation on normal and mutant animals.
  • Studies on a GTPase activity protein in oligodendrocytes and neurons.
