Specific projects include:
- investigate the synthesis of hyaluronan and associated hyaluronan-binding proteins in human colon smooth muscle cells
- determine the mechanism by which un-activated mononuclear leukocytes engage unique hyaluronan structures
- understand the signaling and cellular processes that lead to activation of hyaluronan-bound mononuclear leukocytes
