Key Interests:
Dr. Beck is a full staff member of the Department. His research interests include the design and analysis of clinical trials and prospective studies. The Clinical Trials Design and Analysis Section of the Department which he leads is the Data Coordinating Center (DCC) for several NIDDK supported multicenter clinical trials and prospective studies primarily in the areas of chronic kidney disease and hemodialysis. Currently, he is the Principal Investigator of the DCC for the Frequent Hemodialysis Network (FHN), Dialysis Access Consortium (DAC), and the Hemodialysis Fistula Maturation Consortium (HFMC). In addition, he is the Principal Investigator of the Cleveland Clinic clinical center for NCI supported multicenter clinical trials studying dietary supplements and their relationship with the recurrence of neoplastic large bowel polyps.
