The main campus of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation occupies 140 acres and 40 buildings near Cleveland's historic University Circle, Case Western University, The Cleveland Art Museum, Museum of Natural History, Botanical Gardens and Severance Hall, home of the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra. CCF has consistently been named one of the top medical centers in the USA and has a long and strong commitment to basic, translational and clinical research. The Lerner Research Institute is the Division of Laboratory Research of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. The majority of the nearly 650 principal investigators, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and technicians of the eight basic science departments of the LRI are housed in state-of-the-art laboratories of the Lerner Building, built in 1999. |
