Specifically designed to enhance translational genomic medicine, the Genomic Medicine Institute (GMI) encompasses 9 research laboratories, the Genomic Medicine Biorepository and the Genomics Core Facility. In collaboration with its clinical component, the Center for Personalized Genetic Healthcare, GMI aims to translate genetic and genomic research discoveries into better patient care at Cleveland Clinic and beyond.
Our excellence in genomic healthcare research was shaped by the vision of our Founding Director Dr. Charis Eng (1962-2024). Read more about her legacy of research and impact on Cleveland Clinic here.
