Musculoskeletal Research Center (MSRC)
Director: Kathleen A. Derwin, PhD
Co-Director: Kurt P. Spindler, MD
The MSRC holds a monthly “Research Think Tank.”
The purpose of the Think Tank is to provide a forum for giving and receiving feedback on research projects during their developmental stages toward a mature and ultimately funded grant proposal.
The agenda for each Think Tank will be driven by the requests of the MSRC community. An email soliciting agenda items (e.g., requesting feedback on ideas and direction for a new grant, Specific Aims page discussion, review of Summary Statement, etc.) will be sent to MSRC members two weeks prior to each meeting. We expect to include two items on the agenda for each 1-hour meeting, and investigators requesting feedback will be expected to lead the discussion around their topic of discussion.
Any member of the MSRC – junior or senior investigator-- is encouraged to participate regularly, whether or not the agenda for a given month reflects your particular item for discussion. The Think Tank will be a great opportunity to learn, share ideas, develop collaborations and foster a culture of team science and Center identity.
Time and location: The meetings will occur on the third Thursday of each month, from 4-5p, in ND2-40. Video-conferencing is available for those unable to attend in person.
Upcoming Think Tank dates:
