About Us

There is a strong commitment across Cleveland Clinic to train innovative, compassionate biomedical researchers who are dedicated to developing new treatments and cures for patients.

The Lerner Research Institute is a 700,000 square foot facility that houses basic and clinical laboratories and state-of-the-art technologies. Our academic mission is to provide world-class research training for our 250 postdoctoral fellows, 175 graduate students and 150 undergraduate students.

The Research Education and Training Center (RETC) offers trainees educational enrichment services including professional development, mentoring and career exploration. During their tenure, trainees have the opportunity to travel, publish in high impact journals and collaborate with physicians on developing new treatments and cures.
